Contact Me
If you’re here because you want to contact me, just don’t. Seriously. Skip the email, drop the DM, and instead: start a public discussion. I’ll join if I can, and if I can’t, someone else will. That’s the beauty of open collaboration—it’s not about me; it’s about what we’re building together.
Now that I’ve said that, here’s why I prefer public discussions:
- Transparency builds trust. No secrets, no silos, no misunderstandings. Everyone knows what’s happening, and that’s how it should be.
- Collaboration happens in the open. The best ideas come from groups, not private back-and-forths.
- The journey matters. Open-source isn’t just about results—it’s about the process. Public discussions turn into educational tools and resources for others.
- Reduce dependency. If I’m not around, public conversations let others take the lead. You don’t need me to move things forward.
My mantra: “No DMs -> Group.” Keep it public, share the responsibility, and if I’m not there, think: “What would Manfred do?” and go for it.
Here’s how to actually reach me:
- For open-source projects: Post on GitHub. That’s where the magic happens, and it’s the best way to collaborate.
- For general questions: Forget Twitter DMs. Post a public tweet, tag me, and let’s make it a conversation.
- For emails: If you must email me, copy in people who are involved. Don’t make it a private thing—make it collaborative.
In short: don’t contact me—contact the community. Let’s make it public, collaborative, and a little bit more awesome for everyone.
